There are a number of Image Sliders available. This one is called "TheThe Fly Image Slider" and is very flexible and easy to maintain. When the plugin is enabled it adds an Image Slider menu where you can define slideshows and add slides using standard WordPress media gallery and upload features. When you create a slide show, you will give it a name, set height and width and specify other options such as navigation style, looping and autoplay behaviour.
After saving a named slide show you can begin adding slides. Each slide can have a custom caption, link, delay and transition.
Slide shows are displayed in pages or posts using a simple "short code". For example, the slide show on this page is invoked using this code:
